IT'S THE OUTFIT!

When I first met my husband, one of the characteristics that I respected the most was his honesty.  I never have to guess what's on his mind. However, before Alzheimer's he always had a filter. He thought about what he was saying before he said it.  Now, whatever is on his mind just rolls off his lips.
I have several food allergies, and have to be careful what I eat.  I have to admit, Wendy's Frosty's have been part of my diet for a while.  I might be addicted!

This morning my husband asked me if I have given up eating Frosty's.  He said it more as a statement than a question.  I said, "Yes, I think they may be causing problems along with all my other food allergies."  He said, "Well, they're causing you to gain weight too."  I said, "What? You've noticed I've gained weight?"  He said, "Yes, yesterday before you left for church, that outfit you had on, I could tell you've gained a lot of weight."

I thought for a minute, and then said, "Ok, I will never wear that outfit again! I'm giving it away!"

He thought a minute, then replied, "It's not the outfit."

I guess "open rebuke is better than hidden love"? lol As humans we get so tied up in cleaning "the outside of the vessel" we lose sight of cleaning the inside....Thank you for your faithfulness and sharing! Love you both!
