I Can't Get It Out of My Mind
Ever since my friend sent the link to me for the song, sung by Elvis One Pair of Hands
I can't get it out of my mind. Well, that statement isn't completely true. I have not WANTED to get it out of my mind. I'm reminded daily of the challenges many of us face. I realize what we are going through is not a "forever" kind of thing. However, I do believe a lot of what we are doing today will be with us for many years. I can imagine my granddaughters saying to THEIR grandchildren about "sneeze guards"; "well that happened back in 2020 during the coronavirus. Sneeze guards were put in place to protect us from catching that virus."
From his song, Elvis reminds us that "when life goes wrong, hold on to one pair of hands." I am happy that I am at the age I am. Do I wish I could go back to a different age or time? No. One of the reasons I love where I am is because age does bring wisdom. Many years ago, I would be dealing with this "new normal" so differently. I would be reading everything printed. I would probably drive my kids even more crazy than I did while they were growing up. Things are so different now. But the way I deal with things now, isn't [different].
Jesus warned us that we would face many trials in this life. He said, "But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John. 16:31-33, NIV).
So reach out and grab hold of those Hands. Accept His Grace, and peace.
Hugs,
Katt
