I walked outside this morning with a specific goal in mind, but when I saw the rainbow it took my breath away. I walked back inside and gazed from different windows, room by room memorizing the colors. I knew it would only be there for a moment, but I tried to capture every second of it's amazing beauty in my mind. Locked there forever.
Genesis 9:13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
This week I watched the joy on an expectant mother's face as she shared the new events in her life. Planning the nursery for their first child.
Later that same week I cried with a granddaughter at the memorial service for her beloved grandmother.
I held the hand and prayed with a patient who is now receiving Hospice care.
And celebrated with a young couple on the closing of their first home.
The entire week was summed up in my minds eye early this morning when I gazed at that beautiful rainbow.
Psalms 63:3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. (4) I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

Rainbows are such glorious reminders of God's promise, and his love and care for us. Thank you for sharing your morning memory.

Carol,
Sometimes my DH laughs at me when I ohhh and awwwwh at rainbows, or flowers or clouds....all the simple things in life. He says "you're like a little girl".....that's not the same as "child-like" is it? ha ha

I love a rainbow - the hope, the beauty, and all a gift from God. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and these scriptures. You encouraged me today!
Blessings,
Karen :)
Hi Katt -
Love both those scriptures and rainbows.
Can you imagine how Noah and his family felt the first time they saw one? After going through the flood, any future rainbows were a constant reminder that God would not send another.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Rainbows encourage me too Karen. Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs and many blessings
Hi Susan,
I do sometimes wonder what Noah thought. I wonder if his wife got upset that he was "always working on the ark?"
Hugs and Blessings
Katt
