HOLD MY HAND

My little granddaughter reached for my hand before we crossed the street. "Hang on to me Nana, I don't want you to get hurt." She was four years old at the time.
This morning one of the devotionals I read reminded me of that  moment with my precious little granddaughter.
Sarah Young's devotionals Jesus Calling, where Jesus reminded me to "Hold My hand, and walk joyously with Me through this day."
He also reminds us He already has our path marked. You don't need to worry, just trust in Him completely. He knows where He is going, and His plan is to bring you along beside Him.
What joy and comfort I felt after reading that this morning.
A friend called one day telling me about a few opportunities she had been given, but she wasn't sure now which choice to take. "How do I know if it's the Lord leading me?" she said.
I replied, "You sound a little stressed."
"I can't tell you how stressed I am."
I'm already thinking, none of these choices is from the Lord. He doesn't want our days to be filled with stress. When the choice is one He wants us to make, it just feels right. Not anxious, not stressed.
She continued, "well, what's my answer?"
"Keep praying. Your answer will come when you least expect it. In God's time, by His clock."
I realize that advice needs to also be my own. When I pray sometimes it's like driving through a fast food restaurant and expecting instant results. The Lord doesn't have a "drive-thru".
I'm remembering last week when He kept reminding me, "Be still and know that I am God......"
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I WISH!

It's so hot today I'm having problems thinking. I tried reading outside but it's 30C and I couldn't stay more than a few chapters. My feet are swelling up. Yes, it's me, the one who was complaining about the rain. LOL

It's hot here too. The humidity is high, but when I talk to other people in Ohio, Ky and Indiana they are experiencing weather hotter than us. I guess I'm happy to be here----your feet are swelling???? On my goodness, I told you, come on over!
