But I'm still having trouble getting back into my "normal" routine. Maybe it's because I've got so much to do---or is that just another excuse? Tomorrow is REALLY the day. Gee what excuse could I come up with for tomorrow????Kathryn Neff Perry, PhD, MA, LMHChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15490671251606963991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4176856520349779417.post-47373209356561934072009-09-11T12:38:09.510-04:002009-09-11T12:38:09.510-04:00I've found that if I haven't written for a...I've found that if I haven't written for a week or two it becomes easier to make excuses. When this happens, I make myself sit at the computer until something starts to click. (Reminds me of my Mom making me sit alone at the table for hours 'til I ate the stinkin' lima beans.) My mind wanders for a bit (thinkin' 'bout lima beans maybe?) but eventually, the magic returns & I'll crank out a few thousand words in 3 or 4 hours. Of course my Muse, Mickey, always wants the bulk of the credit - he can be so obnoxious at times. (He even insisted on having his picture posted on my blog.)
The things writers tolerate.

So listen to your mother - eat your lima beans & get writing.

Welcome back.
