WHERE IS GOD

Before the next tear slid down her check she said, "God doesn't hear my prayers anymore". From her perspective she had lost her job, her house, her health was failing and her husband "found someone else" (her words).
She tried to catch the next tear with the tip of her finger. "Where is God?"

Before she went on I had an idea what she was thinking, "what have I done wrong?"
I have heard people say many times, "I think God is punishing them something." Really?
I think about Job. His story still fascinates me to this day. God and the devil made a deal. God knew Job would never lose his faith. Job 1:1 This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil The Lord told Satan to go ahead. Do what you will to him, except do not harm him. Three of Job's peers knew (falsely) Job had sinned and God was punishing him. Job lost everything. But in the end, his faith never wavered. Job KNEW the Lord loved him. And everything he lost was restored and doubled. When I shared this story with my friend at first she didn't feel much better. We prayed together. I encouraged her to read Jobs story for herself. Over the next few days things got worse, before they got better. However, I watched her faith being strengthened as she realized how the Lord had been trying to work in her life. Eventually she found a much better, higher paying job. She found a cute (her words) apartment with a view (also her words). And her husband, well lets just say she feels she's better off without him. Philemon 1:7 Your love has given me great joy and encouragement.......

That is such a wonderful story, Katt. Thank you for sharing. It's so hard to be patient sometimes, to know that this moment of total devastation will pass. Deep breath, or maybe a few deep breathes and voila, God brings peace.

Thank you my sweet, precious friend. I've missed you. I've been gone a while too. I see you are back! Yeah!
Love you
