HIS GRACE

Normally I can't take the boys with me on errands, living in Florida it's always too hot. Since I work from home, I'm with them most of the time.
One day after returning home from an hour errand, both boys ran to greet me. They were jumping on their hind legs, bouncing and running and trying to give me doggie kisses. They are so full of love for me. They would do anything for me. And I don't have to do anything to receive it. Just accept it. They love me unconditionally.
When I was growing up my Mom said many times, "your Dad won't like you if you do that, or your Grandmother won't like you....." It was her way of controlling my actions. Little did she know what she was doing to my self esteem. Most of my life I've thought I had to "earn" someones love.
Many years ago I didn't believe people when I heard them tell me about God's grace. God loves you no matter what? I remember thinking....me?
One of my dictionaries defines grace....the kindness by which God bestows favors and blessings upon the ill deserving, grants to sinners the pardon of their offenses.
2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for you.........

I love the photo! You are so beautiful, Katt. And full of God's Grace. Your boys are so precious. I try not to think too much about some of the "mistakes" my parents made. I have a sneaky feeling I made as many raising my boys, if not more. I'm trying to get over the urge to keep saying sorry.

Hope you are blessed in BIG ways this year. You are such a comfort!

I know I made lots of mistakes....but try not to think about it either. I keep telling myself, I did the best I could....Wishing you peace and joy and happiness this year too! And many blessings......
Love you my friend

What a great photo of both you and your "boys"! And your words about God's grace are so true. It's always been hard for me to accept that he can love me despite my unloveliness. But we get a perfect example from our sweet canine critters of what it means to give unconditional love, and God's love is so much greater. It's really awesome in the true meaning of the word.

Thanks Carol....I have a GREAT photographer! ha ha
Unconditional love......I've learned so much from my four legged friends. The love they bestow.......and you're right...God's love is so much more powerful. In fact, I can't even imagine it!
Hugs and blessings my friend
