BESIDE THE STILL WATERS

My new book, Beside The Still Waters is now available, and just in time for Christmas.
Years ago my dream was to write poetry. I had visions of becoming the next Elizabeth Barrett Browning, but try as I might I could never get past "roses are red, violets are blue".
One day the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, "write these words". I went to the keyboard and typed as fast as I could. At times the words were coming faster than I could keep up.
Most of the poems in this book happened the same way.
One of my favorites is Those Three Wisemen,
The sky was black
On that eerie night
We wondered then
What was that sight?
There was a star
That led the way
Those three men
They stopped to pray
Those Three Wisemen
Who came to see
A sight to share
With you and me
They each brought gifts
To share with You
They saw a babe
So brand new.
In the manger
On that night
That tiny babe
What a sight.

How could we know
When we saw His face
He'd be the one
To change this place?
We offered frankincense
And myrrh
On that night
No one did stir.
The eastern light
That guided them
Is there until
He comes again.

Makes me think of the tenderness of Christ. What a wonderful sentiment and at the perfect time of year. Blessings. I'm ordering your book right after Christmas to go with my other two.
