It's Okay to Date

In the past when I have counseled couples, I used to recommend that they "date". Before my husband and I were married, I suggested the same thing to him. I said, "I think after we are married, we should still date."
From the look of horror on his face I added, "each other, honey."
I've encouraged couples to remember the feelings that brought them together as a couple. They way they felt about each other.
I've also suggested they write notes, or text, or email to each other. "I can't wait to see you tonight." How great would that make your spouse feel.
One of my dear friends has started blogging about her own marriage. I'm so proud of her.
It's not easy to witness to the world issues in your own marriage, but in addition to that Deb shares the joys they also share. She includes how their love for each other has grown, and what it's taken to accomplish that.
I don't often include a link for someone else blog, but I feel Deb does such a good job, that even if your own marriage is secure, you can still gain something inspirational from following her new blog.
Let me know what you think.
I know you won't be disappointed.

I punch my dear husband in the arm at least once a day. Is that what you mean? Usually it's because he has passed an unpleasant odor. The first sign is the silly grin on his face. Today while we were shopping for stuff to put in the stew he plans to build, he called out in a crowded aisle, "Joylene, you stink!"

I crawled under the shelf.
