THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

I'm not sure but I think I heard my two puppies, Bailey and Meko click their heels together as we pulled in the driveway late last night. I was busy clicking my own heels. It's great to visit family and friends, but oh so great to be back home.
I've been plowing through laundry and two weeks worth of mail today. The boyz are resting from all the excitement.
The flowers look brighter, the grass greener and my bed, ahhhh yes. It was so good to collapse into my own bed last night.
This morning as I fell back into my normal routine, reading three devotionals, praying for the people I've added to my prayer journal and reading my Bible, it felt comfortable.
I need to dust and run the sweeper and finish the laundry. I'm thinking I may do all of that after my afternoon nap. Another thing I missed while on vacation.
I missed all of you too.
Yup, there's no place like home.

I miss you most of all! Terribly doesn't come close! Missed, missed, missed you, Miss Kat. So glad you're home. So very glad. Hope you had fun though. And of course, you behaved yourself, eh?

Welcome back! I hope you're refreshed and ready to leap back into routine. (Oh, sure... facing all the laundry and housework and mail, I'll bet you wish you were still galavanting!) ;)

Yes, I'm with Dorothy and Toto when it comes to loving my home. I always get in a tizzy as I pack for a trip, wondering if the stress is really worth it. Of course I enjoy the holiday once I'm away, but home always looks so welcoming when I return. I'm a homebody at heart.

Joy,
Thanks so much Joy. I missed you too! I took my laptop with me, thinking I could write while I was away. BUT my two little precious granddaughters took precedence. It was so hard to tell them good-bye. They drove from Colorado so my 93 year old Father could see them too. He loved it. I loved watching him with the girls.

Thanks Carol. It was so good to be home last night. We were both so tired. My DH only let me drive about an hour. I think I scare him! ha ha

Hey Katt - We're away more than we're home. I calculated the number of nights per month spent in our own super comfortable bed - divided that into the mortgage payment & concluded that it costs us about $850 per night to sleep in said comfortable bed. Homesick.

(*sigh*)

Hope you had a good time. Glad you're home safe n' happy.

Dave, you are just way too funny! I'm so glad to be home. I'm just too old to travel. We always try to see so many people--who are spread out in different states, and they all want us to stay several days. A few nights I woke up and couldn't remember where we were---even what state we were in. See what I mean about old!!!
