TODAY IS THE TOMORROW...

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. Anonymous
I rolled over and looked at the clock, 2:48 a.m. Great I have two whole glorious hours to sleep.
As I rolled over on my back and snuggled closer to my five pound Maltese, Meko, my mind started churning.
My wireless printer is off line again. It takes about a half hour to go through all the steps to get it back on line. I have to re-write several pages of the manuscript I'm working on, and the mountain of responsibilities kept flowing in my head.
I remember thinking I might as well get up, I'm awake and I have so much to do.
But Lord, I've been so tired. I fell asleep at 8:30, woke up at 10:30 and went to bed.
As the thoughts continued in my head, that precious voice said to me, "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me" John 14:1
Those words were soft and soothing to me.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Psalm 150:6.
The next time I looked at the clock it was 5:04 a.m.
Right on time, Lord. Thank you for a great nights rest.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and all flesh shall bless His holy name forever and ever. Psalm 145:21

So true. Life is complicated but not near as bad if we stop interfering. I'm still surrendering. Haha. I'm what is referred to as a slow study. Great post, Katt.

I think that comment was written for me---years ago, but that was me! I'm so glad I've grown up----

Wow. That quote is awesome, and so true. I might just have to put that on my bathroom mirror until it sinks in to my head!

That's a great quote. Some nights it's hard to turn off my mind. It's not worries that keep it going in circles so much as replaying the day's activities, or a current writing project, etc. As long as I'm comfy I don't really mind. I sometimes come up with my best plot ideas in that twilight time between waking and sleeping. That used to frustrate me because I forgot them in the morning, but now I have a battery-lit pen and notebook on my bedside table. Once I've jotted down an idea my mind is free to doze off again.

Carol,
I don't worry any more either, just get caught up in the "to do list". I'm always afraid I'll forget to do something. Like my hairdresser calling and asking me if I'm okay? Okay, you're great, then where are you? Is that because I'm old?
Naw, I didn't think so! ha ha
