DETROIT LIONS

The Reverend Jack French taught Bible study to the Detroit Lions many years ago.
This afternoon he was sharing some of his experiences during that time.
What I know about sports would take less than five minutes for me to explain.
I do love University of Kentucky basketball, and rarely miss a game.
However, the rest of the sports world is pretty foreign to me.
One of the young men Rev. French talked about was a big person. I was trying to picture this young man in his field.
I leaned over to my husband and whispered, very quietly, "are they a baseball team"?
My husband whispered back to me, "he just said the kid weighed over 300 pounds."
Then my husband laughed out loud in the middle of church.
He said, "did you ever see a 300 pound short stop?
Well, I guess not.
If I knew what a short stop was.

Laugh out loud funny, Katt! I'm not much of a sports fan either, so I think I insulted a few of my friends this weekend when I said I couldn't be bothered with the Super Bowl shenanigans. My DH is a hockey fan, so I do end up watching a few hockey games but I'm usually working on my laptop at the same time.

Carol,
My DH watches golf, football, basketball and Fox News. He wants me to be in the same room with him. So that's usually when I read---or bring my lap top and work. He thinks I'm "playing games" on the computer. I always tell him, "no, no, I'm watching the game with you honey."
