All Shapes and Sizes

In a darkened room, I pulled two socks out of the drawer and stuck them in the pocket of my sweatshirt. I have to admit, I'm a creature of habit.
We are blessed to have a programmable coffee-pot. I make the coffee the night before and I the aroma of fresh coffee awakens me about 6:30 every morning. Before I bring the paper inside, I fix my husbands coffee with just the right amounts of flavored creamer and sweetener. I stick it in the microwave, where it sits until he wakes up.
My toes are very cold before I finally sit down to read my Bible and pray. But knowing those socks are in my pocket reminds me, in just a minute my toes will be warm again.
When I pulled the socks out of my pocket this morning I realized they weren't mates. However, I pulled them on anyway, and they worked.
I'm reminded that even though the socks are different they warmed my feet. Just like the many friends I have. Each of them is unique in his or her on right, but they warm my heart.
I'm so blessed to have the friends I do. I also realized yesterday when I needed help with a project, just which two friends would be the perfect mates for that project. They don't "match" but they both prayed for me yesterday.
Blessings, and friends, come in all shapes and sizes. I'm so thankful for each and every one of you.

Friends are indeed wonderful blessings! And my life is enriched with not only real time ones but all my different cyber ones, like you. I love finding your morning thoughts here... reminders that someone else, though distant in miles, is beginning her day with coffee and prayer (and chilly toes!), and thankfulness, just as I am. Bless you today, Katt.

Carol,
Sometimes I forget we are "cyber" friends. You also feel much closer--no miles between us. I am so blessed to have the friends I do.
Hugs
Katt

That's what I love best about you. Take any situation anywhere and Katt will find a connection that is good and pure and blessed by Jesus. What a gift you are!
