GPS

Did you ever take a wrong turn? Get lost? I thought so--me too.
That's why my husband bought me a GPS years ago.
At lunch we were talking about the GPS system our friends have in their car. Mine keeps telling me it's "recalculating" when I make a wrong turn. And in fact it keeps saying that until I correct my wrong turn. Our friends were telling us the one in their car shuts off if they make a wrong turn. We all laughed about the feeling you have when you're lost, and how now, sitting at a table, it is funny that their GPS shuts itself off.
I thought about how many times God wants to "turn Himself off" when I take a wrong turn, and how happy I am that He doesn't.
Can you imagine, making a bad decision and just knowing God wouldn't be there.
Over the years I'm sure I've made lots of bad choices. I rejoice in the fact that God is my pilot and HE never "shuts Himself off". I'm sure at times HE has said under His breath of course, "recalculating, recalculating."
But, thank you Lord for never giving up on me.
Have you ever felt like that? Lost?
How did you handle it, how did you get back on track?
I'd love to hear from you.

I was driving to my girlfriend's one night and got lost. It was late. I panicked. Then I pulled over, prayed, took a deep breath and shortly afterward located her house. It was a miracle, no doubt about it.

Joy, I absolutely hate to be lost. I called him while he was playing golf. He said, where are? If I knew where I was, I wouldn't be calling you. I'm surrounded by orange groves. I was crying---lost in the orange groves of Highlands County. On the way home we stopped and bought a GPS! I prayed that day too----and like you, I found my way.
