THANKS, I THINK

Have you ever felt like that? Thanks, I think? My computer had been "on the operating table" for over a week. That's like a golfer with no clubs, or a cook with no stove.
Every other day I called to see when my computer would be coming home. Each time I talked to him it was a different story. But the same story I heard was "I'm not actually there right now, but I will be, and I'll take a look at your computer." When I left it early Monday morning, I asked him if he had an idea when I would get it back. I explained I'm a writer and need it. He nodded and smiled and said, "I should be able to take a look and fix it by this afternoon."
I sat patiently, the first day, by the phone waiting for a phone call that never came. Each day I grew more impatient. When I did get the call, my computer was ready, I eagerly picked it up.
I came home, knowing I was so far behind, but trusting everything would work out. It always does.
I booted it up! And shed a tear. He had restored it to a time, probably several years ago. I had to re-load almost everything. My documents were all in a different format. I took a deep breath and pushed myself away from my desk. This can't be Lord.
Well, I guess I did pray to get my computer back, didn't I? I guess, be careful what you pray for?
That was last night. Today, I am thankful to have my computer back. I'm thankful the sun is shining. I'm thankful for my health. I'm thankful we will be surrounded the next couple days by people who love us and cherish time together with us.
I'm sorry Lord, you tell us I Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always;pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
The time without my computer was wonderful. I finished two sewing projects and read a book. Thank you Lord for the peace and solitude that time provided.
Yes, Lord, Thanks, I Know.

My admin account crashed lastnight. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I had this horrendous flood of panic and it almost incapacitated me. LOL. God is Good.

In this age of technology we've become so dependent on our electronic/digital equipment, and that leaves us vulnerable. Even with files backed up, breakdowns cause major hassles. I can imagine the delay was very stressful, but it's good that there was a bright side for you.

Blessings,
Carol

Joy, I know---isn't that terrible that our lives revolve around this stupid little machine??? I also have a lap top and everything is backed up by Carbonite---BUT all my "stuff" is on this computer-----God knows how to slow me down----God is good!
Hope you have a blessed day---

Carol,
I think the frustration for me was he kept telling me "I'll have it done today". So I put off doing whatever task until later, "that day". And it turned out to be a week and a half later.
Oh well, God made me slow down and do some fun projects-----
Happy Thanksgiving my sweet friend.
Love you
Katt
