STRONGER THAN I LOOK

I don't remember when I started following Sarah Brewer's blog, StrongerthanIlook.com.
What I do remember is the ache I felt in my heart for Sarah and her young son Ben for all he was going through. He was sick. He was very sick. The following is from Sarah's blog.
Ben, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, Stage IV, at the age of 2 1/2, my world fell apart. Unfortunately, I had to keep my exterior from deteriorating because not only did I have a very sick little boy to care for but I had a brand new baby, Madeline, who was born six weeks after Ben’s initial diagnosis.
Reading through her posts, Sarah has brought me to tears. However, she has also made me laugh.
Please go to this blog, follow her posts and let her know you are praying for them too.
You are probably thinking why?
Today, I read the post she wrote. "Ben is cancer free."
After reading a few weeks ago about how this little guy threw up the dye used for the MRI and it had to be rescheduled, I can only say, Thank you Lord for answered prayers. Ben has been in my prayer journal for weeks. I have prayed everyday for complete healing. God heard our prayers. And for now, Ben is healed.
I've prayed that Ben would dress up in a costume or carve a pumpkin.
I hope Sarah lets us know if that happens.
God Bless you Sarah for being the kind of Mother you are. One who cares so deeply for your son and your daughter. And just for the record, I believe you are Stronger than you Look.

I believe most of us are stronger than we think we are. We move into and through situations that threaten to overwhelm us, simply because there is no other option. We make it through even when we think we can't because, just as in that Footsteps poem, in the very toughest places when we can no longer manage on our own, God lifts us up and carries us. Sometimes he uses friends to help bear the load, too.

Sarah is blessed by people like you who notice, and care, and pray. How wonderful that Ben is doing so well right now! The power of prayer!

Carol, I'm like you and believe Sarah is "Stronger than She Looks". I've never met her but have been praying for her. God does lift us up and carry us. All we have to do is ask and believe HE will be there.
Hugs and blessings to you my friend

Hi Katt -

Wonderful news about Ben! I'll check out her blog.

When I look back at some of life's challenges, I know it's only God, who kept me from despair.

Blessings,
Susan :)

Susan, isn't that the truth! "God kept me from despair"!
Although I don't know Sarah Brewer I feel God led me to her blog. He wanted me to read her story and share it with other people. From what I've read about her, she is a remarkable woman. And praise the Lord, the news she shared about Ben this week! Cancer Free!
Hugs and Blessings to you my friend
