SPECIAL FRIENDS

Some days are more special than others. Just like some of our friends. I met a dear friend and fellow author for lunch today along with her adorable daughter, Beth. It was so good to see both of them. They flew down from Ohio to receive an award for one of Linore's books. She was disappointed she came in second, I personally don't understand that, but she did get second place. I am so proud of her. I love her books about Ariana Forsythe "because she could not find an Inspirational Regency Romance on the bookshelves of any store." Her books are "Before the Season Ends", "The House in Gosvenor Square" and her latest "The Country House Courtship." All her books are available at www.harvesthousepublishers.com, or any book store as well as Amazon. She still hails her New York "accent", even though I don't think she realizes it. Linore Rose Burkhard has been an inspiration to me. Not only has she become a dear friend and confidant, she has always been there for me. If you are a Jane Austen reader, you will love Linore's books. I look forward to the next time we see each other. In the mean time, thank the Lord for email and cell phones. Hugs Linore.

Joy, You and Linore are my "go to" friends. I just told FP last night, you and Linore remind me so much of each other. You have both been such an inspiration to me. I told Linore about you today and said, I would love for the three of us to have lunch together! She would love you as much as I do.
Thanks Joy

We should. Linore sounds wonderful and gifted. I'd ask her to rub some of it off on me. LOL.

We have to pick a midpoint. How about Chicago after your guest appearance on the Oprah Show?

Friendship is such a precious thing but so often taken for granted in the busyness of life. How wonderful to be able to spend time with your dear friend and share in the excitement of her award. Congratulations to her!

No need to pass on wishes, Katt, since I'm here! : ) Joylene, thanks for the nice comments and I'd love to meet you, Katt's right about that--we'll have to work it out sometime. And Carol, thank you for your congratulations.
Katt, you sweetheart, thanks for this post (not to mention a great lunch you insisted on buying us) and you know I enjoyed seeing you and getting to spend a few wonderful hours with you, at least as much as you did. An understanding friend is a precious thing. Even Bethany enjoyed herself, and it isn't easy to keep a teenager happy!
Lady, you rock!

Linore, I'm glad you're home safe, but I miss you! Can't wait to see you again.
