CELEBRATE SMALL VICTORIES

Some days I'm not sure I'm the hamster or the wheel. My life seems to be spinning. A few days ago I wondered if there was anyway I could squeeze a few more hours into the day. It was 9:00 at night, I was exhausted, but I still had stacks of work to do. I spend at least an hour every morning reading the Bible and praying. I start the day an hour or so before that, taking the "boys" for a walk. I love early mornings, before the birds wake up. The sun creeping across the horizon and glistening across the lake like thousands of tiny diamonds. As I walk I pray for the people inside the houses I'm passing. I pray for friends and family. One friend in particular is going through a difficult time. In fact, today will be a life changing event for him. I have cried and also prayed without ceasing. Just as it reminds us in the Bible to do. I've been on my knees. I've fasted for this friend. This morning after returning from our walk I opened my Bible and before I could turn to "where I left off yesterday", this passage came to me. PSALM 32:8 I WILL INSTRUCT YOU AND TEACH YOU IN THE WAY YOU SHOULD GO: I WILL GUIDE YOU WITH MY EYE. NKJV So for the first time in months I felt a peace sweep over me. This morning during my walk I "gave him to you." And when I came home Lord, You gave me peace, knowing that You are still in control, you will watch over him during the next few months. I wear a bracelet that says "Celebrate Small Victories". Sometimes we don't realize the "small victories". Thank you Lord for the peace that has come into my life today. And thanks for watching over my friend.

Very awesome post Katt. I hope you don't mind but I want to recommend another blogger / author site that I think you would enjoy. Becky Ramsey is one of my online friends, she is also an author & blogger. Check out her 'Wonders Never Cease' blog at http://rebeccasramsey.blogspot.com/
I think the 2 of you would hit it off very well. Have a great weekend.

Thanks for your comments Dave. In fact, I took your suggestion and read part of Becky's blog! She sounds terrific. I sent her an email so we'll see what happens.
Hugs to you and Deb!

Hey Katt! I'd say finding this verse was serendipitous, right?!
I love your habit of walking and praying for your neighbors. That's awesome & a gift to both them and you!
And sweet JaxPop is right, we do have lots in common! (Hey Dave!) It's so cool finding new friends. It's the best part of blogging, I think!

Becky, thanks for stopping by! Yes it probably was serendipitous! And the Lord has a great way of smacking me in the head-----sometimes I'm sure he looks down on me, smacks his forehead and says duhh (when I finally GET it) ha ha
Hugs
Katt
BTW Jaxpop completely cracks me up!!!! He should be a stand up comedian!
