MY EVERY NEED

He scooted up as close to me as he could get. I moved the glider slowly back and forth, listening to the birds, waiting for the sun to peek over the horizon. Meko seemed content, listening, trying to decide which chirp came from which bird. I rubbed his belly and he snuggled closer. Looking down at him, I could see the outline of his face in the twilight. Is he really as interested in the birds and the solitude as I am, or is he just content to be here with me? I wonder how many times the Lord looks down at me and asks the same question? Meko depends on me for everything. I make sure he has enough to eat. I try not to give him more than he needs, because I usually know the right amount for that little body. I make sure he has clean, fresh water. I bathe him when he's dirty. I take him to the groomer when he needs clipped. I walk him when he needs exercise. I hold him when he's afraid. He knows I will always be there for him. Yes Lord, I'm listening this morning. Thank you for a simple, but valuable lesson.

It's so good to know the Lord watches over us as watch over our own.

Kathy,
While sitting in the dark this morning I felt surrounded by His presence. Just had to share it.

Those solitary moments spent in quiet reflection are precious. We take the insights with us throughout the whole day! It's a perfect way to get started, isn't it?

Carol, I find myself waking earlier all the time. Just so I can spend precious time in the early morning----yes, it is wonderful!
