BLIND FAITH
With several singing engagements coming up I thought I needed some new material. I got the bright idea to order some accompaniment tapes. I no longer have a piano, so finding someone to play for me isn't always easy. When the CD's came in the mail, I was anxious to listen to them. I put the first one into my "digital anti-skip system", adjusted the head phones and sat back, waiting. And waiting, and waiting. Great music! The CD's came with lyrics, but no music! How am I supposed to count the measures and know when to come in? My brilliant idea was turning into a lip biting stressful situation. Now what?
It reminded me, that's how our faith has to be. Blind----leaning totally on the Lord. Not trying to count out the music ourselves, but giving it all to Him and knowing He knows when to "come in". It's so hard to lean on someone else when you are an independent person, and used to "counting the measures" yourself. What a fabulous lesson I learned. Leaning on Jesus, yes for everything. Even the small stuff.
Okay, now where was I, one and two and three.......

Those tapes are so difficult! Isn't it wonderful how the Lord watches over our coming ins? I'd love to hear you sing.
Kathy,
You are so sweet. But the visions that are running through my head at an old Andy Griffith show where Barney Fife wanted to sing, they blocked his mic and had Gomer Pyle sing instead???? I'm hoping I'm not sounding like Barney Fife! ha ha

Hi Katt -
Thanks for an excellent example. I've often been disappointed with one of those tapes when it doesn't sound like the original artist's arrangement. We're setting ourselves up for failure when we try to take the place only the Lord can fill.
Blessings,
Susan :)
Thanks Susan, you are so correct!
The Lord cares about the big and the small things, doesn't He?
Blessings,
Karen :)
Awesome sentiments. Amen! Thanks, Katt. You can't imagine how badly I missed your posts.
Karen, I'm so happy He does!
