GO HIDE THE CORN

My neighbor remarked the other day she has been finding corn growing in her flower beds. "I just don't understand it. I didn't plant it there." She smiled. This morning I have the answer for her. I watched a squirrel stuff as much bird seed into his mouth as possible, and then run for cover. He ran up the tree beside the house, then when all was safe came back down, scouted the area and proceeded to my neighbors flower bed. All of his treasure still in tow, he began "storing" his stash in her flower bed. It reminds me that's the way God is too. We aren't able to see the whole picture. We have questions about things that happen in our lives. We wonder why there is "corn" in our "flower bed". God knows why it's there and he knows who put it there. Someday when we are standing at Jesus feet, we will see the whole picture. Someday we will realize what happened to the lady who stopped us for directions. We were in a hurry and were a little short with her. We'll learn she had the beginning stages of Alzheimer's and she needed our help to get home. Someday we'll have all the answers. For now I just need to be a patient "follower." '
